On Monday, May 18, 2020, Yvonne Elise (Schurra) Heintz, passed away at 89, with her loving husband, three daughters and one of her seven granddaughters at her side. Yvonne was born on May 14, 1931 in Los Angeles CA to Adeline and Henry Schurra. She attended Hoover High School and San Diego State and on October 18, 1952, she married the love of her life Anthony “Tony” Heintz. She and Tony raised three wonderful daughters. While Yvonne loved to sew, knit, crochet her passion was quilting. Yvonne’s quilts are on display in many a household as she has made and given away literally hundreds of gorgeous quilts to family, friends and her church. Yvonne is known for her kindness, loving care and selflessness. Yvonne was preceded in death by her father, Henry, mother Adeline, sister Louise King and one grandchild Christina Leighton. She is survived by her husband, Tony of 68 years, her three daughters, Jill Cutler (Rob), Julie Leighton (Ken) and Jana Hamby (Tracy), six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Per her wishes, there will be no services.
